Overview
The three components of the Shield include: (1) a clear crystal triangle (upper section) imprinted with five stones functioning as one set to create a psychic immune system; (2) a lower crystal triangle holding the recordings of three stones that work together to ground the body and balance the body’s atomic orbits and polarities and (3) a rain drop crystal that attaches to the bottom triangle with the recording of one of Earth’s rarest stones emanating a frequency that supplants negative egos.
The Shield Concept: Background and Physics
To understand and appreciate the creative workings of the Shield, certain concepts are described, including the no defense system for the psyche of the mind, atomic orbits and how they function in the human body and the role of balanced polarities for vibrant health. The specific functions of each of the three components of the Shield are profiled below along with the properties of each of the nine stones that constitute the recipe for the Shield effect.
The Upper Triangle Crystal: Generating A Psychic Immune System
Every human being has a psyche. At our current stage of evolution, the psychic of the mind has few natural defenses. One day, 10,000 years in the future, the human species will develop a ‘psychic immune system’ but at the present time, we are without one. The body has a physical immune system but the mind has no immune system.
Without a psychic immune system, you can feel invaded or pushed around by the emotions of other people. Nothing protects your psyche better than your own perception that ‘everything is going to be better than imagined.’ If you are a person who has begun to experience the magical journey of using your perception to create a better-than-imagined reality, there are additional steps you can also take to shield the psyche.
People who seek greater spiritual maturity—those learning to open and feel their world without judgment—can over time become more and more ‘non-physical.’ When you start to develop greater intuition, knowingness and other psychic gifts as a result of a more non-physical state, the value of a psychic immune system increases.
Without a psychic immune system, you can feel that people sometimes dump on you. As you get more sensitive, you can sense you are being pushed around by social consciousness. When you have resentment coming at you and you are without a natural defense, it can cut into your life force.
Human beings are a social species. Until you can individuate from the social collective, you can sometimes experience the anxiety and fear of social consciousness. With no psychic immune system to offer protection from the collective fear or destroying signals that come from others, there is value in creating your own defense measures (along with your better-than-imagined belief system) that provides a form of psyche cover or Shield while you pursue your spiritual journey.

Q: What is a gem stone?
A: A gemstone or gem (also called a precious or semi-precious stone, a fine gem, or jewel) is a piece of mineral, which, in cut and polished form, is used to make jewelry or other adornments. However certain rocks (such as lapis lazuli), or organic materials that are not minerals (such as amber or jet), are also used for jewelry, and are therefore often considered to be gemstones as well. Most gemstones are hard, but some soft minerals are used in jewelry because of their luster or other physical properties that have aesthetic value.
Q: What metals does Sharon use to create her jewelry?
A: Sharon wirewraps cabochons and bends metal to create pendants and ear rings. The metals she uses are gold-filled, sterling silver, and copper.
Q: What exactly does gold-filled mean?
A: Gold filled wire is made by bonding a layer of 10-karat, 12-karat or 14-karat gold to a base of jeweler’s brass. The wire is then drawn to the desired thickness. It became popular in the early 20th century and allows Gerardi Gems to keep our gold jewelry more affordable.

Q: My ears are sensitive to some metals, can I wear the ear rings you sell?
A: Yes you can! All ear wires on our website (whether they are made of copper, sterling silver, or gold filled) are nickel free and hypoallergenic.
Q: Are neckchains included with my pendant purchase?
A: A simple adjustable cord is provided with your pendant purchase so that you can wear your pendant immediately upon arrival.
Q: I have a very special gemstone that is an heirloom, can Sharon wrap it for me?
A: Definately. Gerardi Gems always welcomes the opportunity to co-create with you. Simply fill out our Custom Ordering form. Once submitted, Sharon will get back to you in regards to design ideas, material use, and overall cost.

A: Essential oils may be too strong for young skin, so test first before applying to young children’s skin. Do not use during pregnancy or when breast feeding, and as stated above, Bugshield is for external use. And again, do not spray in your eyes.

Gerardi Gems
Gerardi Gems is the vision of Sharon and Paul Gerardi, a husband and wife team whose artistry is featured on this website. The duo traveled North America from 2004 through 2007, visiting 36 American states and 6 Canadian provinces. Along the way they traveled as artists ,offering their artistry at art festivals, local craft markets, in new thought churches, and at garden festivals.
Sharon began creating art in the 1990’s when she literally had to find a creative way to financially make ends meet. The result was Stemart, a fun and elegant addition to the stem of your wine glass. Sharon has continued to create new artwork in the form of jewelry, wire wraps, bookmarks, and wind chimes. Find out more on our Artistic Creations page. Sharon is a Certified Natural Healthcare Practitioner and has created the all-natural Enviroshield and Bugshield, which can be viewed on our Natural Care Products page. She welcomes Custom Orders and Wholesale Purchases for many Gerardi Gems items, and also offers Wedding Services in her role as a wedding officiate.
Paul became a performing songwriter in 1992 after a near death experience while working for Metro Traffic Networks in Orlando as a broadcast Traffic Reporter. He began writing and singing songs after that experience and has never stopped. He recorded three albums of contemporary folk music which are available on Gerardi Gems.
Paul also creates Oregon Driftwood Wind Chimes and assists Sharon in the crafting of her StemArt, as well as doing metal texturing for her bookmarks and jewelry. Paul is also a writer, penning poems and short stories, and writing commercial copy in his long standing role as a radio broadcaster.
